Job summary

Cox Automotive, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in the field.

The role offers independent field work with a company-provided service truck to take home daily, plus a comprehensive benefits package and career development opportunities. You will work Monday through Friday on the 2nd shift, traveling to service light to heavy-duty vehicles, maintaining safety checks and accurate documentation via an iOS

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years of related experience.
• DOT regulations familiarity and the ability to complete DOT forms and inspections.
• Ability to operate field service vehicle and use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic diesel tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Independently manage parts inventory and operate the company service vehicle with daily pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with clients to assess needs, provide information, and obtain approvals on repair estimates.
