Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician I to take their skills on the road performing licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs for a wide range of vehicles. You’ll work independently in the field, manage a service truck, and document work using a company app.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer service, with a 2nd shift schedule and potential client-requested weekend work. You’ll receive a company vehicle and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• DOT inspections and PMs per FMCSA requirements.
• DOT regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Experience with field service operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• You will perform scheduled maintenance and DOT inspections on light to heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose, repair, and adjust diesel and gasoline engines and related systems.
• Maintain and operate company vehicle and tools, conduct safety checks, and document RO using mobile app.
