Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a mobile/field fleet. You will work independently, managing a service truck and parts, with a focus on safety and quality outcomes.

Excellent pay and benefits accompany this role, including a new hire bonus and the opportunity to take home the assigned service vehicle. Typical schedules include Wednesday through Sunday or 2:00 pm–10:00 pm shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; 3 years related field or 5 years experience alternative.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months of hire.
• DOT background screening and DOT physical pre-employment.
• DOT medical card valid or willing to complete DOT physical if nearing expiry.
• 21+ years old and valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems on trucks.
• Road test vehicles and document RO findings using TRAIT app on iOS.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck equipment; conduct safety checks and pre/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with customers and support team to obtain approvals and discuss RO findings.
