Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform licensed DOT inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a mobile service fleet. You will operate a company truck, document work electronically, and handle parts from approved vendors while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role is 2nd shift, with potential weekend work at client request. Benefits include health insurance, PTO, and ongoing training while taking the service vehicle home daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years' related experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• OEM training and certifications are preferred.
• DOT-related pre-employment background screening and DOT physical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Document work and parts used on RO via iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Maintain and operate company service vehicle and conduct pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with clients to assess needs and provide information or assistance.
• Manage concurrent tasks and prioritize work activities.
