Job summary

Cox Automotive, operating Cox Fleet, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting.

Expect independence on the road with a company-issued service vehicle, 2nd shift schedule, and benefits. Training and development are provided to advance your career within Cox Fleet.

Qualifications

• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical will be required.
• Valid DOT medical card with >4 months remaining is acceptable in lieu of a new DOT physical.
• 21 years or older due to interstate commerce regulations.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to maintain a Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile service and maintenance for light to heavy-duty vehicles in field.
• Perform PMs and DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs.
• Manage service truck inventory and document work on RO with devices.
• Communicate with clients to assess needs and provide updates.
• Complete DOT forms accurately and in a timely manner.
