Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive business, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a mobile fleet. You will work independently and may take home the assigned service vehicle, with a schedule of Wednesday-Sunday or 2:00 pm-10:00 pm shifts.

Responsibilities include PMs, inspections, diagnostics, road tests, and documenting RO findings via TRAIT on an iOS device. Join a nationwide network of techs and service centers.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years in related field; or 5 years in related field.
• Must supply a set of hand tools to perform duties.
• ASE T8 PMI certification preferred; other ASE certifications are a plus.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations experience and ability to pass DOT background and physical.
• Driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle while on job.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, inspections, and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Document work in TRAIT application with RO notes and photos.
• Manage parts inventory and reconcile on company-issued service truck.
