Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will handle electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission tasks, manage parts on the service truck, and document work using our TRAIT app.

A valid license and DOT readiness are required. This role offers hands-on learning with senior techs, safety training, and a path toward higher certifications.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools for duties.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance training and background checks required.
• DOT medical card or ability to complete DOT physical.
• Valid driver’s license; 21+ years old due to interstate rules.
• OEM training and certifications preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Carry out minor repairs across electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Manage parts inventory on company service truck and reconcile periodically.
• Maintain service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and perform pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with clients to assess needs and provide updates on repairs.
• Document findings, RO content, parts used via TRAIT/app on iOS device.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly.
