Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive business, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs for a range of vehicles in a field setting. You will work independently, receive a company-issued service truck, and enjoy benefits and opportunities for skill development.

Shift options include Wednesday–Sunday or 2:00 pm–10:00 pm, with competitive pay and benefits designed to support your ongoing success and career growth.

Responsabilidades

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT Inspections and follow up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair various types of truck equipment including electrical/ braking/ cooling systems, engine electronics, diesel systems, transmissions, clutches and differentials.
• Inspect, test and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using hand tools, test instruments, and pressure gauges.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
• Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck and reconcile as needed.
• Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and perform pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with clients to assess needs, provide information, and resolve issues to meet expectations.
• Obtain parts from local and national vendors as necessary for repairs.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely manner.
• Work with a high degree of independence and manage daily schedule and priorities.
• Maintain productivity and adhere to standard repair times.
• Use hand tools, precision instruments, Diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts and jacks.
