Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive company, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs and a range of repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role requires diagnosing and repairing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on trucks and trailers, with responsibility for documentation and scheduling.

Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED, ASE certifications, and be able to work independently with a customer-centric focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required. 3 years’ related field experience; alternative combos with higher education or 5 years’ experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, braking, cooling and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Document work performed and parts used; obtain approvals and communicate with management as needed.
• Maintain and operate company service truck; conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
