Job summary

Cox Fleet in Leesburg, FL is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to moderate repairs on a mobile/field fleet. You will diagnose issues, perform electrical and mechanical work, and document findings on Repair Orders using the TRAIT app.

You will work with clients to assess needs, manage parts inventory, and maintain safety standards including OSHA, EPA, and DOT rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; 3 years’ related field experience or 5 years’ experience alternative.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory pre-employment background check and DOT physical required.
• DOT medical card valid with >4 months remaining preferred, or DOT physical as needed.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems; run diagnostics with handheld tools and instruments.
• Test drive and road test vehicles to verify proper operation after repairs.
• Manage parts inventory on service truck and document RO findings using TRAIT app.
• Maintain safety compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
