Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II in Orlando, FL to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to heavy mechanical repairs in a mobile environment. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, test and road-test vehicles, and document findings on RO via iOS devices.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED and 3–5 years of related field experience, ASE T8 within 18 months, valid DOT requirements, and safe driving.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years related field experience or 5 years related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and transmission systems as needed.
• Inspect and test vehicles, road test to verify repairs, and document findings on repair orders using company tools.
• Manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck; obtain approvals for estimates and PO numbers as required.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation timely; maintain safety checks and pre/post-trip inspections.
