Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to heavy repairs on trucks in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmissions systems, and complete road tests to ensure proper operation.

Maintain safety and quality standards, manage parts from the service truck, and document all findings in the TRAIT app.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED with 3 years related field experience or 5 years equivalent.
• Own set of hand tools to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical completed successfully.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on trucks in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test and listen to equipment using handheld devices and gauges.
• Road test vehicles to verify proper operation after service.
• Manage parts on service truck and document work in TRAIT app.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and DOT safety policies.
