Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service a diverse fleet in a mobile/field environment with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and customer communication. You will perform PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on light through heavy-duty vehicles, while maintaining documentation and parts inventory.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 3–5 years related field experience or equivalent
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools
• ASE T8 PMI certification within 18 months
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required
• Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate commerce requirements
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and drivetrain systems
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance
• Manage parts inventory and service truck stock; document work on RO in TRAIT
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety policies
