Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in mobile/field environments. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on light to heavy trucks, and document findings using our TRAIT app.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a valid driver’s license, and adherence to DOT/FMCSA regulations. Weekly pay and safety bonuses are provided where available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years’ related field experience (or 5 years).
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Valid state driver’s license with interstate authority.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems on trucks.
• Inspect and test equipment; drive to validate repairs and safety.
• Manage parts inventory and document work on RO using TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms and maintain safety/compliance records.
