Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform PMs, inspections, and repairs for light to heavy‑duty trucks in a field/mobile setting.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical and diesel systems, conducting tests, and updating repair orders using TRAIT on an iOS device. Requires ASE T8 PMI within 18 months, or equivalent experience, and a valid CDL/driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre‑employment background screening and DOT physical.
• DOT medical card with >4 months remaining may substitute for a DOT physical.
• 21+ years old and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Maintain company service truck and manage parts inventory and RO documentation on TRAIT/iOS devices.
• Coordinate with management to obtain approvals and document findings.
