Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform PMs, inspections, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, cooling, and engine systems, road test vehicles, and document RO findings using TRAIT on an iOS device.

Expect a safety-focused role with independent scheduling, parts procurement, and close collaboration with clients; ASE T8 certification is required within 18 months, with comprehensive company support and growth

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years in related field; or 5 years in related field.
• Must supply a set of hand tools to perform duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months of employment.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical may be required.
• DOT medical card acceptable in lieu of physical if valid >4 months remaining; otherwise DOT physical required.
• Candidates must be at least 21 years old and have a valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and driveline systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and identify malfunctions.
• Document findings and parts used in Repair Orders via TRAIT app.
• Maintain service truck and conduct safety checks pre-/post-trip.
