Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to heavy duty trucks in a mobile/field environment.

You'll diagnose electrical and mechanical systems, conduct road tests, and maintain service vehicles and tool inventories. This role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months and a valid CDL/driver's license where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years in the field, or 5 years related experience.
• A DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical may be required.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and other truck systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Maintain service truck and inventory; document RO with photos on TRAIT.
• Communicate with customers and management to obtain approvals and updates.
