Job summary

CoxFleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light/medium/heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, cooling, braking, and engine systems and document findings on RO using TRAIT app.

Candidates must have a HS diploma/GED, supply your own hand tools, and obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months; DOT background check and medical card requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years in related field (or 5 years experience)
• Own set of hand tools for job duties
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months
• Must pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical or hold a valid DOT medical card
• Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems
• Test, road test, and document RO findings using TRAIT app on iOS device
• Manage parts inventory and service truck daily; obtain approvals on repair estimates
• Comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety regulations
