Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, cooling, and engine systems, perform road tests, and maintain vehicle documentation using company tools.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, ASE T8 within 18 months, and DOT/medical qualifications. This role offers weekly pay, safety bonuses, and training within a growing nationwide fleet service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years' related experience, or 5 years' related experience along with any relevant degree/certification.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months of hire.
• DOT background check and DOT physical may be required before employment.
• 21+ years old with valid driver's license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems on trucks and trailers.
• Test and inspect equipment using handheld devices, gauges, and diagnostic tools; road test as needed.
• Maintain service truck and tools; manage parts inventory and document RO findings in TRAIT.
