Job summary

Cox Automotive Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs in a mobile/field environment. The role requires adherence to DOT/FMCSA regulations and the ability to work independently with a company-issued vehicle and TRAIT app documentation.

The candidate should have a HS diploma or GED and at least 3 years of related experience, with ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years related field experience preferred.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on trucks in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Test and road-check vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and document repairs using company TRAIT app.
• Obtain parts from local and national vendors and coordinate with management for approvals.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance (DOT, FMCSA, OSHA).
