Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive division, is seeking a Mobile Diesel Tech II to perform scheduled maintenance and DOT inspections in a mobile/field environment. This role is remote with residency in the U.S. and requires significant travel (100%).

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing trucking and trailer systems, managing parts on a company vehicle, and documenting work using TRAIT on an iOS device. ASE T8 and DOT compliance are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED plus 3 years in a related field (or 5 years experience).
• Possess and supply hand tools to perform duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months; comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on light–heavy trucks and trailers in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engines, transmissions components.
• Inspect vehicles, road test, document findings with RO using iOS TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and operate company service truck with pre/post-trip checks.
