Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose, repair, and test various electrical, braking, cooling, and engine components while maintaining parts inventory and proper documentation.

Work hours are 8am–4pm, Monday–Friday, with competitive hourly pay and benefits. A valid CDL/driver’s license and DOT compliance are required, and you will have opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED or equivalent with 3 years in related field; or 5 years related experience.
• Must possess own hand tools to perform duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification to be obtained within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance; ability to pass pre-employment checks and maintain DOT medical card.
• Valid state driver’s license; must be able to obtain Driver Qualification File.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections, and light–to–heavy repairs in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and related truck systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify fixes and ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and document work on RO via TRAIT app.
• Comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations (OSHA/DOT/EPA).
