Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PM inspections, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, engine and cooling systems, and maintain service records on a company-issued device.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related experience or 5 years’ related experience.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the job.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months and pass DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose, repair and service electrical, brake, cooling and engine systems as needed.
• Document work via RO entries, photos, and required DOT forms in a timely manner.
• Maintain safety and compliance with OSHA, EPA and DOT policies while meeting productivity targets.
