Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II for DOT-compliant inspections and on-site mobile maintenance across the US. The role offers an hourly wage with a potential new hire bonus and a remote-friendly work arrangement for those who live in the specified area.

The technician will perform PMs, diagnostics, and repairs, maintaining safety and quality standards while coordinating with clients and dispatch.

Qualifications

• Requires DOT/FMCSA pre-employment checks.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Valid driver’s license and DOT medical card.
• HS diploma/GED and related field experience or 5 years’ related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and other truck systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify proper operation and diagnose malfunctions.
• Document all work and parts used in Repair Orders using TRAIT on an iOS device.
• Maintain service vehicle and manage parts inventory and safety checks.
