Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a mobile/field setting across the USA. The role requires adherence to safety and DOT regulations, with the potential for additional compensation through incentives.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, road testing, parts management, and client communication to meet fleet needs.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
DOT inspections and preventive maintenance experience preferred.
ASE certifications or completion within 18 months a plus.
Ability to interpret schematics and diagnostics.
Strong communication with customers and team.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled DOT inspections and PM on light–heavy trucks in mobile/field settings.
Diagnose, repair, and adjust electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
Test and road-test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
Manage parts inventory and maintain company service truck and tools.
Document work on RO and upload photos using TRAIT/iOS device.
Complete DOT forms accurately and timely.
