Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose, test, and repair truck components, maintain the service truck, and upload RO data via TRAIT on an iOS device, following DOT and OSHA guidelines.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, valid CDL, and ability to operate independently while coordinating with customers and management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; related field experience acceptable
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months required
• Must possess hand tools and be able to use diagnostic equipment
• DOT/FMCSA compliance and safety regulations knowledge is essential

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile/field heavy vehicles.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Document work and upload RO details using TRAIT on an iOS device.
• Maintain and service company-issued service truck and safety checks.
