Job summary

Cox Fleet, a division of Cox Automotive, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics on heavy-duty trucks in a mobile environment. You will work with clients on-site, document repairs via TRAIT, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years in a related field, and DOT regulatory familiarity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years experience in related field or an equivalent combination.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems on trucks.
• Test, road test, and verify repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and document work in the TRAIT app and Repair Orders (RO).
• Complete DOT forms and related documentation promptly.
• Communicate with customers and support teams to obtain approvals and discuss RO findings.
