Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections and preventative maintenance for light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile environment. You will diagnose complex mechanical systems, perform on-site repairs, and document work using TRAIT on an iOS device.

Strong safety and DOT compliance are required. Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma or GED with 3 years of related field experience, ASE certifications preferred, and must meet DOT medical/card

Qualifications

HS Diploma/GED required.
3+ years in related field preferred.
DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge a plus.
DOT medical card current or valid DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy vehicles in mobile/field environment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
Test, road test, and document vehicle findings using iOS devices and TRAIT app.
Manage parts inventory and company vehicle prep/post-trip inspections.
Coordinate with customers and management for approvals and RO documentation.
Adhere to safety, health, and environmental policies and DOT regulations.
