Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and both light and advanced repairs in a mobile/field setting across the United States. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues and work closely with customers on-site.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED with 3+ years in related fields, ASE certifications preferred, and must be able to pass a DOT background check and physical.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; or 5 years’ experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment including electrical, braking and cooling systems.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, air conditioning and engine systems on various trucks.
