Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on mobile fleets nationwide. The role requires high safety standards, diagnostic skills, and independent management of daily tasks.

Workdays are Monday–Friday, 7 am–4 pm, with travel up to 100%. The position offers competitive hourly pay and potential incentive programs, with benefits beginning on day one."

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years in related field or 5 years experience accepted.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months of hire; DOT regulations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling systems and engine components.
• Document work performed with RO details using iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck supplies; ensure safety and compliance.
• Communicate with management to discuss estimates, approvals and RO findings.
