Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role supports on-site maintenance for a wide range of trucks and trailers.

Work would involve advanced diagnostics, safety compliance, and independent scheduling within a weekend shift. DOT and ASE certifications are preferred, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years in related field or 5 years in related field.
• ASE T8 certification to obtain within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance knowledge and DOT physical requirement.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain company service truck and RO documentation.
