Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced repairs in a mobile field setting. You will diagnose mechanical/electrical issues, manage parts, and document findings on RO using our TRAIT app.

The role leads jobsite activities, acts as a customer-consultant, and maintains high performance metrics while complying with safety and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related experience (or 5 years alternative).
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must complete DOT/FMCSA regulatory requirements and possess/maintain a DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections, and on-site repairs for light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems; test and road test vehicles.
• Document work on RO using TRAIT app and upload photos of parts used and findings.
• Manage service truck inventory, maintain vehicle, and coordinate with management for approvals.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety policies.
