Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and coordinate with clients to meet fleet needs.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, DOT/FMCSA prerequisites, ASE T8 within 18 months, and the ability to work days, Monday–Friday. The role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits, with a remote-friendly option for live-in the local region.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT background check and DOT physical prior to employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect and test equipment, road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation; document findings.
