Job summary

Cox Automotive in the USA is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II (DOT). The role focuses on licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced diagnostics for light to heavy-duty fleets in a mobile/field setting.

You will work with a service truck, document repairs using TRAIT on iOS, and coordinate with customers to deliver reliable on-site service. We offer hourly pay $35.29–$52.88 with potential incentives, 100% travel, and a path for career advancement within Cox Fleet.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with related field experience or equivalent combination.
• 3+ years in a related field; ASE certifications preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA regulation knowledge and DOT physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, repair and adjust electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Manage parts inventory and document RO details using TRAIT on iOS device.
• Conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections; road test vehicles as needed.
• Coordinate with management for repair estimates and approvals.
