Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Tech II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to medium repairs in a mobile field setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers, test equipment, and road-check vehicles to ensure proper operation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 3 years of related experience (or 5 years), and ASE certification within 18 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; 3 years related field experience, or 5 years related field experience.
• ASE certification within 18 months of hire.
• DOT compliance and safety certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium, and heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect and test equipment; road-test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and care for company service truck and tools.
