Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs on a mobile/field fleet. The role requires strong diagnostic skills, tool handling, and adherence to safety standards. You will work in a remote-capable, travel-heavy environment with a focus on customer service and timely repairs.

Flexibility to work weekends and variable shifts is included, with opportunities for ongoing ASE certification and career growth within Cox Fleet's nationwide network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related field experience.
• ASE T8 PMI certification within 18 months is required.
• DOT-regulated pre-employment screening and DOT physical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles and document findings on RO via mobile device.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck stock; obtain approvals as needed.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and safety policies.
