Job summary

Cox Fleet, part of Cox Automotive, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose, repair, and test truck systems, manage parts and RO documentation, and work under supervision to reach high performance metrics.

Qualified candidates have a HS diploma or equivalent, ASE T8 within 18 months, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a DOT background and medical review.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related field experience, or 5 years' related field experience.
• Own set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM inspections and follow-up repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and drivetrain systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment using test instruments and road test vehicles to verify proper operation.
