Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to mid-range repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile/field setting.

The role requires ASE certifications, valid CDL and DOT medical card, and the ability to work independently with strong communication to clients; you will also document work on RO via TRAIT app.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3+ years in related field or 5 years experience accepted.
• Possess a set of hand tools required to perform duties.
• ASE certification T8 (PMI) preferred; ability to obtain DOT compliance & pass DOT physical.
• Valid driver's license, DOT medical card, and ability to pass background checks.
• Ability to work in a mobile/field environment with DOT/FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Document findings, parts used, and RO information via TRAIT app and iOS device.
• Coordinate with management for estimates, approvals, and purchase orders.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and truck readiness; comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
