Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on light to heavy duty trucks in a mobile environment. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling systems and more, while maintaining service records via TRAIT on an iOS device.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, 3+ years in related field, and ASE T8 certification or plan to obtain within 18 months; valid DOT medical card and 21+ years old.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, with related field experience preferred.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification required or obtained within 18 months.
• DOT regulations experience and ability to pass DOT screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on fleet vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles and document findings on RO using TRAIT app.
• Manage parts and schedule work independently with safety compliance.
• Communicate with customers to assess needs and provide timely updates.
