Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems while maintaining a company vehicle and documenting RO data through TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role requires a HS Diploma/GED, 3 years of related experience, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED plus 3 years related field experience.
• Must supply a set of hand tools to perform duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
• Must be at least 21 years old with valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light–heavy vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, cooling, engine and drivetrain systems.
• Maintain and inventory parts on company service truck; document work on RO with TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals on repair estimates and parts.
• Adhere to OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety regulations while performing duties.
