Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and various repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will work on light to heavy duty vehicles and document work using our TRAIT app.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass DOT requirements. Travel is 100% with some remote work possible within a specified city/region.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related experience.
• Ability to obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT background check and DOT physical prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light–heavy vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, transmissions, and other systems.
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and document work in TRAIT app.
