Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs on a range of trucks in a mobile setting. The role requires diagnosing mechanical issues, managing parts, and maintaining documentation using TRAIT and iOS tools.

Ideal candidates will have HS diploma/GED plus 3 years related field experience, ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months, and a valid driver's license. Travel is 100% with a four-day schedule and day shift.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma/GED and 3 years related experience.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge and DOT physical requirements.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months or eligibility.
• Candidates must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems; use diagnostics tools and equipment.
• Maintain parts inventory on the service truck and document work in Repair Orders using TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management for repair approvals, estimates, and PO numbers.
