Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will serve as a lead on jobsites, triage diagnostics, and document results via the TRAIT app.

Requirements include a HS diploma/GED (3 years in related field or 5 years), 3+ years with refrigerated equipment, ASE certifications, and a valid driver’s license with a DOT card. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a HS diploma/GED with 3 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination; or 5 years in related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations apply; must pass DOT background screening and DOT physical or DOT medical card.
• Must be 21+ years old with valid driver’s license.
• ASE T8 and other ASE certifications expected within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose, repair and test electrical, hydraulic, braking, and engine systems.
• Document work orders, parts used and findings using TRAIT app.
• Coordinate with customers and management; obtain approvals for repair estimates.
• Maintain service truck and safety inspections; ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA/DOT.
