Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in a mobile/field environment. The role requires strict adherence to DOT regulations and high-quality diagnostic work.

Responsibilities include road testing, documentation via TRAIT, parts management, and coordinating with management on estimates. A valid DOT card and ASE T8 within 18 months are required along with a HS diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required with 3+ years in related field, or equivalent experience.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• Must be 21+ years old with valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engines, and transmissions.
• Road test vehicles to ensure proper operation and document RO findings in TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck equipment; obtain approvals on repair estimates.
