Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will manage parts inventory, document work orders via the TRAIT app on an iOS device, and communicate efficiently with management for estimates and approvals.

The role requires DOT/FMCSA compliance, a valid license, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting safety standards and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years’ experience in a related field.
• Own set of hand tools for job duties.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge is preferred.
• DOT medical card may be substituted if eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on mobile/field vehicles.
• Handle parts inventory and document RO using TRAIT on iOS.
• Communicate with management for repair estimates and approvals.
• Ensure safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
