Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level I to perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field setting. You will manage parts, operate a company service truck, complete safety checks, and document findings using the TRAIT app.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and ASE T8 certification within 18 months, with DOT compliance and safety as top priorities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Own a set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance required; DOT medical card or DOT physical.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification required within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems.
• Manage parts inventory and operate company vehicle; conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Document work and findings using the TRAIT app and upload RO photos.
