Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field environment. The role involves handling various systems, managing parts, and documenting work with TRAIT on an iOS device.

The position requires a DOT-compliant background check, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently with strong safety adherence. Training and career growth are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• DOT/pre-employment requirements including DOT physical or DOT Medical Card.
• Basic tools provided by you to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and light repairs in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and Diesel systems.
• Manage parts inventory and vehicle/service truck readiness.
• Document work on RO using iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Maintain safety, quality, and compliance with DOT/OSHA policies.
