Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field environment for light, medium and heavy‑duty vehicles. You will work with various truck systems, manage a service truck, document findings in the TRAIT app on an iOS device, and support DOT compliance with safety standards.

This role requires a High School Diploma/GED, a valid driver’s license, 21 years or older, and DOT medical or ability to obtain one;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; up to 2 years experience in related field.
• Own set of hand tools required to perform duties.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge and ability to pass DOT background screening and DOT physical.
• Valid driver's license; must be at least 21 years old.
• ASE T8 certification within 18 months; ASE T4 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT Inspections on mobile/field vehicles.
• Repair minor electrical/braking/cooling system components.
• Independently manage parts inventory and service truck supplies.
• Document work in RO using TRAIT app on an iOS device.
• Complete DOT forms and maintain safety inspections.
