Job summary

Hawthorne Health is expanding its Home Network and seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to perform in-home imaging visits across the United States. This per diem contractor role involves travel to patient homes to conduct echocardiograms and vascular studies per protocol, with travel expenses reimbursed per visit.

You will work independently in non-traditional settings, ensuring safety and high-quality image acquisition.

Qualifications

• Active registration in both cardiac and vascular imaging (e.g. RDCS or RCS plus RVT or RVS through ARDMS or CCI)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel locally/regionally
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet; tech savvy with digital tools
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
• Adaptability in dynamic field-based environments
• Time management and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes to conduct visits
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participant
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging studies per protocol
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment
