Job summary

Hawthorne Health is expanding its Home Network and seeks dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to work as independent contractors on a per-visit basis. In this role you will travel regionally, occasionally across state lines, to patient homes to conduct in-home cardiac and vascular imaging visits and to transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac and vascular imaging (RDCS/RCS and RVT/RVS) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel regionally and work independently in homes.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes to conduct visits.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participant.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging studies per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards per ASE.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
